Vince McMahon was recent hauled over by the ever-watchful Twitter police for his brilliant inadvertent burial of his own son's birthday in contrast to the glowing tributes he paid to John Cena. If that's how he feels about 'The Champ', it's nigh-on impossible to know how gooey he must go for the man that included a promise to keep his company afloat in his marriage vows.

There were countless accusations levied against 'The Game' early in the 2000s that his union with Stephanie McMahon was one of total convenience to his wrestling career, and whilst this obviously never truly felt authentic as an accusation, it's eminently possible Vince McMahon was quite happy with it all, once he'd made his peace with the concept.

Not in his wildest dreams could have found a new member of his family that seemed as willing as he was to work all hours to protect the legacy of his empire. A man willing to be pretty f*cking ruthless to get to the spot in the first place. A man even better than he was at babyfacing his rather heelish tactical takeovers.

Shane-O-Mac may always be the 'Money' to McMahon, but the first day Paul called him "nnnnDadddddddd" was quite literally the start of the rest of his life.
