There would be no World Wrestling Entertainment without Vince and Linda McMahon, thus making them the greatest husband and wife couple in company history. Vince was a visionary promoter who took the wrestling industry national and created characters that played to all corners of the country. He took Hulk Hogan, a character that proved incredibly popular in the AWA, and fine-tuned it to make a legitimate international icon. He emphasized the entertainment aspect of the industry and thus, garnered a larger fan base as a result. He was a master marketer who knew what his audience wanted to see and gave it to them more times than not. Vince had a vision, a vision for an internationally recognized brand and he worked endlessly to ensure that vision was realized. His wife, Linda, provided moral support but she was also a key member of the Board of Directors. While Vince has always had the reputation of being a hot head, at times, Linda was the calming influence. She was more media savvy and capable of talking to a roomful of investors or politicians. She was soft-spoken and sweet, something her husband not always was. Together, they have helped steer WWE for decades. They helped the company survive financial peril and watched as it rose from the ashes to defeat WCW in the Monday Night Wars. They have been through incredible highs, near earth-shattering lows. Through it all, they ensured the future of professional wrestling.
