10 Best Real Life Husband And Wife Teams In WWE

6. Jerry Lawler And The Kat

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pgKtwboR8z4 Jerry "the King" Lawler is one of the greatest wrestlers of all-time. That he remained as over as he did in a single territory like Memphis for as long as he did indicates his ability to remain relevant and never bore the audience. His battles with Bill Dundee, Austin Idol and Jackie Fargo established him as one of the top stars in the world while his feud with celebrity Andy Kaufman catapulted Lawler into mainstream consciousness. When he joined WWE in 1992, he was exposed to a brand new audience. While he played the role of heel for the better part of eight years, Lawler was beloved by the WWE fans, who essentially turned him babyface sometime in 2000. The King was so good and so captivating as a color commentator that he became one of the voices of the Attitude Era. A great heel broadcaster, he was the perfect compliment to the straight man Jim Ross. In 2007, they were both inducted into the Hall of Fame, and deservedly so. In 1999, Lawler's then-wife Stacy Carter debuted with WWE as Miss Kitty. A cute, sexy young woman, she became the newest valet in the company. As Jeff Jarrett put it when he introduced her, she was the valet to his valet, Debra. When that relationship dissolved, she became just like any other Diva of the period: purely sex appeal. She won the Women's title in an Evening Gown match, after which she exposed her bare breasts to the audience. A feud with Terri Runnels ran throughout 2000 and featured such classics as the Thong Stinkface match at SummerSlam. By 2001, however, she had reportedly rubbed powerful people the wrong way with her attitude and was fired. Lawler, ever loyal, stood by his wife and walked out of the company with her. Unfortunately, the legendary competitor would later find out that Carter had cheated on him. That, plus offers to return to work by WWE management, necessitated his comeback. Lawler has since worked for the company for 13 uninterrupted years.
