Outside of this tiny snapshot of their careers, both men enjoyed huge success in the ring. Foley worked in ECW, WCW, many places in Japan and WWE for decades, carving out a lasting legacy for himself. Likewise, The Rock had multiple title wins over many years and still receives a huge welcome when he does return for one off appearances.
Beyond wrestling, The Rock has found enormous success in Hollywood, starring in films such as The Fast and Furious Series and Jumanji among others. He was the highest paid actor in the world at one point and there is no greater example out there of a wrestler who has made his way into the mainstream in such an effective way.
Mick Foley has written five memoirs, some of which have made the bestsellers list, as well as children's books and two novels. As well as being a successful writer, he was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in the class of 2013.
The two men's respective daughters are apparently close friends leading to joking remarks of a second generation of the Rock 'n' Sock Connection.
