10 Best Roman Reigns WWE Matches

Roman Reigns and AJ Styles proved they could put on a great match at Payback 2016. At the following pay-per-view in an anything goes environment, they raised the bar even higher with what they could do together.

One of the best chants from this match - and Roman heard this twice - was "You Still Suck." This happened after he gave AJ a ridiculous back body drop through an announce table and also after performing a gorgeous Splash Mountain pinning attempt. That chant came off as a concession by the audience that they were committed to cheering against him despite how well he was performing in his match. It was deserving because both he and Styles put on a classic.

There was interference by both The Club and The Usos near the end of this bout, which brought out a fit of rage from Styles. In the final moments, he repeatedly whacked both Usos and Roman with a steel chair, absolutely wearing out his weapon across their backs. Even with this ferocity, Styles fell when he ate a spear off of a Phenomenal Forearm attempt. The timing of that spot was perfect.

In AJ Styles' first year in the world's biggest wrestling promotion, he quickly became their best performer. It's no surprise that the two big matches Roman Reigns had against him were standouts in The Big Dog's career, including this one which tops the list of his best matches ever.
