5. The Undisputed Era

Adam Cole, Kyle O'Reilly, and Bobby Fish have been NXT's top stable almost from the moment they arrived, and while Fish's recent injury could wreak havoc with their short and medium-term prospects, they've more than earned their spot.

Undisputed aren't the mainline heels in developmental (that'd be Andrade 'Cien' Almas and Tommaso Ciampa), but they're lurking just below, and one day, Cole is going all the way to the top.

'The Panama City Playboy' is a WWE guy through and through. He's undersized, but has the look and charisma they seek in a top star, and a smooth, safe wrestling style consistent with Vince McMahon's preferences. Fish and O'Reilly are better technicians, but Cole is the complete Sports Entertainment package.

What holds Undisputed back is their meek win/loss record. They won WarGames, but Cole fell in his last big singles match (vs. Aleister Black, TakeOver: Philadelphia), and the trio lost their feud with Sanity. Still, it's only a matter of time before WWE strap Cole to a rocket. He's a future NXT Champion, and when he takes the gold, there's no reason to believe Fish and O'Reilly won't be elevated with him.
