10 Best Stone Cold Steve Austin Feuds

9. Brian Pillman

In WCW, in the early nineties €œFlyin€ Brian Pillman joined up with €œStunning€ Steve Austin and together, they became The Hollywood Blonds. They had memorable feuds with Ricky Steamboat and Shane Douglas, and The Four Horsemen, notably Ric Flair and Arn Anderson. What originally started out as WCW just finding something for them to do turned into one of the most popular tag-teams of the early nineties. By the late nineties, their careers had become much more parallel. Through various ways and means both men had left WCW and arrived in the WWF, via a detour through ECW. Pillman immediately realigned himself with Austin, but Austin was incensed at what he saw as his friend favouring his enemy Bret Hart, so he attacked and reinjured Pillman during an interview on WWF Superstars. This led to one of the most memorable moments from WWE€™s Attitude Era. Upon finding out that WWF cameras were going to Pillman€™s home, Austin threatened to be there as well. Pillman countered this by brandishing a gun live on television, stating that his answer for Austin 3:16 was Pillman 9mm. Sure enough, Austin showed up, there was a scuffle and the television feed cut out. The next time viewers saw the Pillman home, Austin was being dragged away by Pillman€™s friends. This is was a step too far for USA Network which carried Raw. Both Pillman and Vince McMahon apologised profusely for the angle, and Brian Pillman wasn€™t seen on WWE television for months. Unfortunately, the feud between the two never got a real blow-off to the feud, although Pillman was brought in as a member of The Hart Foundation as they feuded with Austin, but by then the momentum from their infamous moment had faded significantly.
