10 Best Talkers In WWE Today
1. Cody Rhodes
When Cody Rhodes left WWE in 2016 he was able to redefine himself as a babyface superstar through his time on the independent scene and AEW. During his first tenure with the company, he was reasonably pushed as a young star, but he did not live up to the high potential that came with being the son of the 'American Dream' Dusty Rhodes.
Throughout Cody's time away from the company, he not only became the biggest star not associated with WWE but also one of the foundation pieces that formed AEW. The 'American Nightmare' did this through his much improved in-ring work, but also due to the fact he mastered his promo game. Some of the latter promos he produced in AEW when he was insistent on remaining a face were sketchy, but he talked better than anyone in wrestling through the company's first couple of years.
Cody already seems to have some creative freedom which may be part of why he went back to WWE, but this may get even more noticeable now that Vince has stepped down. At his best Rhodes is genuinely one of the all-time great promo artists which should excite WWE fans for when he eventually returns from injury.
