10 Best Talkers In WWE Today
2. Roman Reigns
For years Roman Reigns fought against the negative fan reaction that came with being Vince McMahon's pet project. The 'Big Dog' was clearly being groomed as John Cena's successor, which meant Roman had to try and work with the same tired shtick that only the 16-time world champion could hope to pull off.
When Reigns took some time off during the Covid pandemic in 2020 there was genuine concern that he would not return, but that fear looks somewhat implausible now. His run as the 'Tribal Chief' since he returned has been seminal, catapulting him into being the undoubted biggest star in the company today.
Such a big part of his success as a heel has been the performances that he and the rest of the Bloodline have produced in a number of dramatic segments where Reigns talks down to his cousins the Usos and Paul Heyman. Having Heyman as a part of the act works very well, but Roman has no need for a mouthpiece as he has transformed into one of the company's best talkers.
The 'Head of the Table' clearly knows his character well and is afforded the creative freedom to execute his vision of it superbly. Hopefully, as more performers are allowed the same latitude there will be similar meteoric rises that can compare to his.
