10 Best Talkers In WWE Today

8. Edge

Much like Bliss, Edge has not been given the best opportunity to produce his best promo work as he has been straying into serious and vaguely supernatural territory. The Judgement Day was a nice idea in theory, as it allowed Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley to further establish themselves on the main roster. However, the style of the group was always unclear, drawing comparisons to AEW's House of Black stable in the process.

In truth, the 'Ultimate Opportunist' has been far too serious in his promo cadence ever since he returned in 2020, even in his long feud with Randy Orton where he was praised for his 'gritty' performances. Edge is far better when he has levity in his act, as the 'Rated-R Superstar' has proven to be one of the most entertaining acts that WWE has produced during the scripted promo era of the company.

Obviously, Edge is not the young sex-crazed lunatic that he was portrayed to be alongside Lita in the 2000s, but there is still scope for him to be humorous once again. Even when he is being serious there is obvious experience behind his words, but finding the right balance is key for Edge being able to recapture his best form on the mic.
