8. Two Titles

Having two world championship belts was hugely beneficial to the wrestlers, as it created a second opportunity for a headline spot. This allowed the likes of Brock Lesnar and Triple H to be champions at the same time. The obvious positives are that in one instance you can invest a title run in a young star, whilst at the same time put the other belt on an established name. This same scenario could prove useful in 2016, perhaps with John Cena being a champion on Smackdown and a next generation star holding the belt on Raw.

It also caters to two different audiences. As Smackdown's title holder, Kurt Angle was very much the 'wrestling champion', while Triple H on Raw was the sports entertainment champion. With the audience as divided as ever in 2016, two title belts could go some way to satisfying everyone.
