10 Best Things About WWE Network After One Year

2. NXT Live Special Events And Weekly NXT Shows

The first live show that aired on WWE Network was the NXT Arrival special on February 27, 2014. The main event saw Adrian Neville defeat Bo Dallas in a Ladder Match for the NXT Title while Cesaro beat Sami Zayn in one of the best matches of the year. Following the success of the first two hour NXT special they aired other specials in May, September, December of last year and earlier this February. All five events have been praised by fans worldwide for producing the kind of great wrestling show that we love to see. The NXT weekly show started airing on Thursday nights, but it moved to Wednesdays back in January after Smackdown's move back to Thursday. What's great about the WWE Network is that if you miss the show during the live stream you can check it out at any time you want. Can't catch it call? Hit pause and check it out at your own convenience. Wrestling fans want shows like NXT because they are about the in-ring action, good storylines and they feature young talent that are ready to break through to the bigger stage in the near future. It's the kind of fresh product that Raw and Smackdown need to be, but always seem to fall short of that goal. NXT as an exclusive show on WWE Network has been a huge success even though WWE barely promotes it on their television for reasons that confuse those of us with sane minds. Why not promote your best show more? Weird. Those of us that watch it love it and those that don't are truly missing out.
