10 Best Things That Ever Happened During Wrestling Commercial Breaks

5. Mr Perfect Defeats Rick Martel Because "THIS IS RAWWWWW"

Even during the beautifully simpler times of 1993, things in pro wrestling sometimes just...happened.

And they did here against the gorgeous backdrop of New York's Manhattan Center during one of the earliest recordings of the show when 'The Model' Rick Martel took on Mr Perfect.

Good but in that of-the-time way than anything that would stick out against the weekly output of wrestling's elite decades later, the two technicians worked a solid television main event that ended smoothly and snugly with a Perfectplex win for the 'The Flawless One'. And all seen through a replay keyed as "moments ago" after viewers came back after these messages to the sight of Perfect exiting to the back.

What might have once scanned as some sort of political move by a wrestler escaping a televised job was rectified by the aforementioned immediate re-run, but the moment at least got over the company's relentless attempts to present the show as "uncut, uncooked and uncensored" in its earliest incarnation.
