10 Best Thrown Together WWE Tag Teams
8. Randy Orton & Edge
Think of Randy Orton's stables and your mind will probably come up with Evolution and Legacy before it gets close to remembering Team Rated-RKO, but this two-piece occupies a special place in the heart of many WWE fans.
The two dashing heels first became an item in late 2006, brought together by their mutual disdain for D-Generation X, a group which had been subjecting the Monday Night Raw audience to tired poop jokes for the preceding six months.
In one of the most star-studded tag matches of all time, the two teams met at New Year's Revolution in early 2007, and though Orton and Edge didn't walk out the victors - it was ruled a no contest when the ref lost control of the bout - they did succeed in putting HHH on the shelf for nearly a year.
Needless to say, egos of this size were never going to co-exist forever, and they were eventually driven apart after both of them went gunning for the Money in the Bank briefcase, and then the WWE Championship, around WrestleMania time.
