Speaking of geniuses.

Eddie Guerrero's loose boot finish with Kurt Angle at WrestleMania XX might be one of the greatest endings in WWE history. Everything was perfect, but that was to be expected with workers this talented. Still, nobody should take the set up for granted, or stop lavishing the execution with praise.

After being caught in Angle's painful ankle lock submission, Eddie scampered to safety and began untying his boot to relief the pressure felt from extreme swelling and a possible broken bone. Later, when Kurt tried to lock the hold on again (which was logical), Guerrero's boot came flying off and he used the confusion to roll Angle up and score the win.

Fans in MSG immediately leapt to their feet and applauded the psychological warfare they'd just witnessed. Here's the genius: Eddie did sell the ankle lock as painful, but also slyly embellished the pain and swelling so that he could catch Kurt out.

He ended up catching everyone out, including the fans. Absolute brilliance from a master at work.
