10 Best Times Wrestlers Hit Their Finishers On The Fly

When: Payback 2016.

Let it be known that AJ Styles and Roman Reigns have chemistry that's on par with almost any other combination in WWE history. They proved that in back-to-back stunners in 2016. Both matches at Payback and Extreme Rules that May were well-received, and they're worth a re-run if you haven't seen them since.

Payback, in particular, had one of the best spots of the entire year.

AJ leapt up onto the top rope and readied himself for a Phenomenal Forearm. At exactly the right moment, Reigns sprung into action and levelled Styles with his often-criticised Superman Punch. This was a rare occasion when the strike looked devastating, not least 'cause AJ feigned unconsciousness before hitting the deck.

Again, timing was everything here. AJ deserves a pat on the back for refusing to take the easier bump onto his side or back, and instead landed face first in a heap on the canvas. Nicely done, dudes.
