10 Best Times Wrestlers Hit Their Finishers On The Fly
9. Chris Jericho
When: WrestleMania 33.
There could easily be a list of Jericho Codebreakers and nothing else. It's one of the most flexible moves on the list, and it's a slight shame that AEW's star has moved on from the finish since leaving WWE. Something about the move is so, so satisfying, probably because it's believably painful to be driven head first into someone's knees.
It's even better when it's used to counter another man's finisher.
At WrestleMania 33, Jericho dodged Kevin Owens' Pop-Up Powerbomb by turning it into a silky Codebreaker and changing the flow of their United States Title match. Despite KO later admitting that Vinnie Mac hated their work that night in Orlando, this spot was memorably clever and did get a pop from the already-sun scorched crowd.
Owens' sell, one that had him waving his arms to retain his balance after being rocked by the shock of Jericho's counter, was genius too.
