Love it, hate it or just a little bit confused by the whole ordeal, it must be said that Lana, Bobby Lashley (Liv Morgan?) and Rusev's odd little narrative on Monday Night Raw had one thing going for it.

Social media was used expertly well throughout the peak months (if you can call them that) of the feud and Lana luxuriated in celebrating her new 'relationship' with Lashley in numerous cringey/uncomfortable posts.

This, coupled with Lana's ability to make any building on planet earth boo her into oblivion, actually helped conjure up some genuine heat towards herself and 'Bobby'. Most of the WWE Universe couldn't wait for Rusev to get his hands on the home-wrecking Lashley and every new post declaring their undying love on Twitter and Instagram only dialled up that anticipation.

Unfortunately, the blow-off was as typically 'WWE' as you'd expect. Lashley and Rusev's grudge matches were hampered by awful booking and further convoluted by a wedding segment which was was almost too insane to follow. Eventually the whole thing fizzled out with a few mixed tag matches.
