10 Best TNA Feuds Ever

Bound for Glory 2011 showcased yet another bizarre booking decision during the infamous Hogan/Bischoff/Russo trio of terror era.

Winning the Bound for Glory series and establishing a respectable babyface connection with fans, it appeared Bobby Roode was set to win the big one. Instead, a severely injured Kurt Angle picked up a cheap, rope-assisted pinfall on 'The It-Factor'.

Fans were left scratching their heads until Roode's long time tag partner James Storm beat Angle soon after. Assuming Storm was instead the homegrown face act TNA was rolling the dice on, the head-scratching only went up for fans when Roode turned heel, bashed the boozy Storm with a beer bottle and stole his title the very next week.

As 'The Leader of the Selfish Generation', Roode carried himself as an old school, territories-style heel. His obnoxious, remorseless promos, by-hook-or-by-crook title defences, and brutal mistreatment of authority figures Sting and Dixie Carter, made him an effective lead villain for the show.

For Storm, a championship revenge win at Lockdown 2012 in his hometown of Nashville seemed likely. In one of the most infuriating moments in TNA history, however, Storm, blinded by rage, inadvertently sealed his own fate by superkicking an exhausted Roode out of the cage. It was a heartbreaking moment, sold brilliantly by a devastated Storm.

While the two feuded again on and off later that year and in the years after, nothing beat the harsh, gritty intensity of these earlier clashes and promos between the pair. Their personal, emotional promos and in-ring chemistry were undeniable.
