2. Beer Money

James Storm and Bobby Roode were two longtime veterans of TNA when they were suddenly paired up. At that point they both had attempted singles careers, but neither went over that well. It seemed creative paired them up just to give them something to do. It worked out wonderfully.

They started out as heels with Bobby Roode as the rich snob (Money), and James Storm, a guy that just enjoyed a good beer (Beer). Despite the goofy name, and vastly different personalities, they had a unique charisma, and became one of the most over acts in the Impact Zone.

It’s almost too bad that they were in TNA during this era, as millions more should have seen them. It's also too bad that the company didn't book them as a main event act, as there was absolutely nothing going in WWE's tag division that could touch them.

The two eventually broke up and had a solid feud before TNA started to go off the rails a bit. They had a short lived reunion in 2016 before Storm left for NXT. It's probably for the best, as there wasn't a way to recreate what they had. Still, you can’t find too many tag teams from this century that are better than Beer Money.

Though one other team also featuring James Storm slightly edges them out...

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
