10 Best TNA Wrestlers Who Didn't Win Gold

2. 'The Pope' D'Angelo Dinero

Currently serving as colour commentator for the TNA product, 'The Pope' D'Angelo Dinero is another individual who came into TNA with a decent amount of hype and was then poorly managed by the creative team, who missed the opportunity to strap him while the iron was hot and did what TNA does best when it comes to their popular stars; turned him heel.

Within six months of arriving in the company Dinero found himself across the ring from then-TNA World Heavyweight Champion AJ Styles at Lockdown 2010, and despite significant crowd support was unable to win the title. Interestingly enough Dinero's next title challenge also came against Styles, albeit this time for the Television Championship.

You'd figure that Dinero would have at least received a token tag title reign with a misfit partner, but even this didn't happen. He teamed with Devon (D-Von Dudley) and came close in 2011, but they were unable to dethrone the equally-misfit team of Crimson and Matt Morgan.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
