10 Best Traditional WWE Survivor Series Matches Ever
5. Team HHH (Triple H, Edge, Batista & Snitsky) vs Team Orton (Randy Orton, Chris Benoit, Chris Jericho & Maven) - Survivor Series 2004
This match was never going to disappoint considering it contained the combined talents of Triple H, Batista, Jericho, Benoit, and Orton. It's difficult to tell what Maven and Snitsky had done to deserve a spot on the face and heel teams respectively, but they certainly same out of place with the benefit of hindsight. In any case, even the weaker members of the match contributed some memorable moments, including a devastating chairshot from Snitsky to the Tough Enough winner. As with many of the higher matches on this list, this contest benefitted from a surge in intensity due to the consequences of its result. The winners would be allowed to take control of Raw for a month (each of the four members assuming the role of General Manager for a week each), leading to a crowd who were absolutely rabid for a babyface victory. Orton was indeed able to deliver, winning the match in a rare high point of his disastrous post-Evolution stint as a face. It's clear that the WWE were attempting to position Randy as the next huge superstar of the company, especially as he was booked to overturn a two-on-one deficit to score pinfalls over Edge and Triple H. http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x287ir_team-orton-vs-team-triple-h-1-2_sport Special mention must be given to everybody in this match however, as they gave everything they had, resulting in a contest which delivered high drama and excitement - often at a rapid pace.
