10 Best Traditional WWE Survivor Series Matches Ever
3. 10 Team Elimination Match - Survivor Series 1987
Although the inaugural Survivor Series PPV is probably best remembered for the Team Hogan vs Team Andre clash at the top of the card, its best match was arguably another of those chaotic 20 man brawls. Similar to the 1988 version the following year, this match showed off the (nowadays unthinkable) depth of the WWF's tag division, as well as their ability to work an incredibly crowded match in an entertaining and fairly smooth fashion. The bout benefits from being slightly more concise than its later counterpart, clocking in at around 10 minute shorter, and features quite a few of the same teams. The British Bulldogs and Demolition, for example, appear in both such matches. The real strength the 1987 contest holds over its sequel is its greater unpredictability. Whereas 1988's match was arguably overshadowed by Mr Fuji's confusing antics towards the end, here the crowd were more likely to experience surprise than bewilderment. Not only were there two surviving teams, they weren't the most obvious choices on the babyface team. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ivdErKS6hec Neither The Young Stallions (Paul Roma and Jim Powers) nor the comical Killer Bees ever enjoyed a single tag title reign during their time in the WWF, yet both teams were booked to emerge as the survivors of this exciting match over such renowned duos as The Hart Foundation.
