10 Best TV Shows About Wrestling

1. Ultimate Muscle: The Kinnikuman Legacy

The enormously popular manga series Kinnikuman has been adapted into various anime shows over the years, though the English-dubbed spin-off Ultimate Muscle: The Kinnikuman Legacy is the one that truly made a dent outside of Japan.

The show revolves around hero Kid Muscle, who must team up with Earth's finest wrestlers to take down the dMp, a stable of heel invaders who arrive on Earth inside a giant fist (really).

It goes without saying that the dMp are a thinly-veiled parody of the nWo - one of their members is even called "Kevin Mask," get it? - and further to that end the show is filled with amusing inside baseball references to the wider wrestling business.

Beyond that the animation is rock solid, it never dares to take itself even remotely seriously, and is packed to the gills with weird and wonderful characters you wish were real wrestlers.

As if all that isn't enough, Ultimate Muscle even had its own surprisingly good GameCube game to boot.
