10 Best Undercard WWE Matches In Royal Rumble History

10. 1-2-3 Kid & Bob Holly VS Bam Bam Bigelow & Tatanka - WWF Tag Team Titles (1995)

This match is more known because of the post-match angle, where NFL legend Lawrence Taylor, sitting in the front row, was making fun of Bam Bam Bigelow after his team lost, only for Bigelow to shove him down into his seat. It set the stage for 1995's biggest wrestling story, but the match that led to it was pretty good in its own right. The Kid was still seen as a tremendous underdog, and this was pre-Hardcore Holly, so Bob was seen as one, too. Going up against the big, bad heels of the Million Dollar Corporation in the final match of the WWF Tag Team Title tournament for the vacant belts only seemed like they would be fodder. The match probably wouldn't be listed here if that's what happened, though. http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x4ugcj_1-2-3-kid-bob-holly-vs-bam-bam-tata_sport Holly and especially Kid played their roles perfectly, and the crowd bought into it, wanting them to keep making the comebacks. Bigelow and Tatanka, to their credit, allowed for Kid and Holly to look strong in their turns on offense. It made for a nice David VS Goliath match, with good storytelling, a unique finish, and a feel-good ending, only for it all to be overshadowed by what went down with Bigelow and Taylor.
