10 Best Undercard WWE Matches In Royal Rumble History
8. The Hardy Boyz VS MNM (2007)
Only a few weeks before this match, many were wondering if we would ever see Joey Mercury (the first "M" in "MNM") wrestle again after his face all but exploded during a botched ladder spot at December 2006's Armageddon pay-per-view. The fact that he was wrestling again only a couple short weeks later makes it no surprise at all that he had to become addicted to painkillers just to get by on a daily basis, but that's a different story for a different day. The Hardy brothers were in the middle of their "reunion tour", of sorts, but you knew what you were getting with this match. The tag chemistry of the Hardys, combined with the athleticism and hunger of MNM, would make for a fun match ten out of ten times, and it was no different here. Given the task of participating in the opening match to get the crowd going, all four men played their parts to perfection. http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x13tpx_rr07-hardy-boyz-vs-mnm_sport As an added wrinkle, there was even plenty of ring psychology, with multiples injuries (kayfabe and otherwise) being exploited and targeted, which isn't something you expect from a "spotfest".
