10 Best Undercard WWE Matches In Royal Rumble History
7. Daniel Bryan VS Bray Wyatt (2014)
First and foremost, what this match had going for it was a hot crowd. The fans there in Pittsburgh that night were incredibly excited. They just knew it was going to be Daniel Bryan's night. He would "wow" the world with his performance against Bray Wyatt, then be a surprise entrant in the Rumble later that night, where he would "wow" the world again, win, and be on his way to WrestleMania as the rightful owner of a guaranteed shot at the WWE World Title. Everyone knows how that would all play out by the end of the night, but this match was very solid, featuring two motivated participants. It was a very physical contest, with both men going the extra mile to beat the hell out of their opponent. Bryan could do no wrong, as usual, with the fans in attendance going nuts for everything he did, and seeming to get even louder when they had to try and will him back into the match when Wyatt was in control. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dAel7ahEj5s Even though the ending of the match saw a fantastic spot with a Sister Abigail on the outside after Wyatt caught a suicide dive attempt from Bryan, it was still a result that immediately deflated the crowd, and looking back at it, probably should have been a sign of what was to come for the rest of the night. Fortunately, however, it didn't exactly take anything away from the match itself.
