10 Best Undercard WWE Matches In Royal Rumble History

5. The Dudley Boyz vs Edge & Christian - WWF Tag Team Titles (2001)

Here we have yet another match that was given the task of being the pay-per-view opener, and it's another match that didn't disappoint. When it came to the Dudley Boyz, Edge & Christian, as well as the Hardy Boyz, you knew you were getting magic when they squared off in any combination. The teams had already been participating in a legendary feud for the ages, and even though this match didn't involve any "plunder" as a stipulation, both teams still brought their "A" games. This match often tends to be forgotten because of that lack of stipulation, unfortunately. It was just a straight up tag match, although weapons spots were teased on more than one occasion. They didn't require anything special, because the teams had already built up such a good chemistry from all of their other matches. What this one does end up being remembered for, though, is weapons, but only because it led to one of the greatest and most exciting matches of all-time...
