10 Best Uses For John Cena's WWE Return

8. Intriguing Matches And Storylines With Midcarders

Still on the theme of the John Cena United States Open Challenge, the weekly challenge has to be used in a more effective manner than throwing up one-off random opponents between major feuds, as was the case through mid-2015. Every challenger should be stepping up with a purpose, much like we saw with Kevin Owens, Cesaro and Sami Zayn. The best part is that Cena doesn't need to lose the title in order to put stars over, as was the case with the aforementioned trio. Even if John Cena was to lose every now and then - obviously somehow booked so that the US Title doesn't change hands - it's not as though Cena is going to lose momentum as a result. After so many years as the face of the company, Cena could reprise The Shockmaster€™s gimmick and still be a made man. On the flip side, there is a small army of midcarders that are far from comfortable in their positions and could benefit from Cena's challenge, with the WWE roster growing to its largest size ever and talented performers subsequently falling by the WWE wayside. Certain rising stars in particular could use a high-profile opponent.

Overly-opinionated Australian WWE smark who is definitely not #booty. Slowly angering the IWC one article at a time. We will probably strongly dislike each other - let's be friends! @MattKMarsden
