10 Best Workers Across WWE And NJPW
6. Kota Ibushi
The dream of seeing Kota Ibushi in WWE looked like it was close to reality last year after his brief turn in the inaugural Cruiserweight Classic, but those hopes turned to disappointment with the news that he wasn't going to stick around on a more permanent basis.
WWE's loss has been New Japan's gain though, because the 35-year-old - who was a mixed martial artist in a previous life - has been responsible for some of the promotion's best work so far this year, including a slew of show-stealing matches over the summer (with one - against Tanahashi in the G1 Climax - a potential match of they year candidate).
Along with Ishii, Ibushi more than any other makes Okada's point a salient one: the 'Golden Star' has only ever made it as far as a secondary NJPW title, yet can happily be considered one of the best workers on the planet.
