10 Best World Champions Of The WWE Attitude Era
6. Chris Jericho
Though 'Le Champion' himself may not be the biggest fan of his first official stint as WWE champ, he'll still go down in history as the first-ever Undisputed WWE World Champion.
And not only that, the dastardly Chris Jericho also toppled both 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin and The Rock on the exact same night to win both the WWE and WCW Championships at Vengeance 2001.
Not bad at all.
Now sure, the reign that would follow didn't really live up to expectations, with the always entertaining 'Y2J' ultimately being made to look and feel like a supporting character on TV despite holding the top prizes in the company. Nevertheless, the easily detestable star was still able to somehow overcome both Rock and Austin in successful defences at the Royal Rumble and No Way Out in the coming months and carried the straps all the way to a WrestleMania main event vs. Triple H.
Again, not bad at all.
And reigning as both WWE and WCW Champion for 98-days at a time when the aforementioned Attitude Era megastars were still very much present on the roster is certainly a commendable feat, even if Jericho himself would eventually claim it was "terrible" for him in hindsight.
