10 Best (Worst) Wrestling Horror Matches
6. Boiler Room Brawl
The Undertaker isn't the only WWE superstar with horrifying specialty matches. Hardcore legend Mankind - who was purportedly from "The Boiler Room" - took on hated foes in the Boiler Room Brawl.
The rules of the Boiler Room Brawl weren't particularly consistent, but they always involved fighting in a dank boiler room filled with weapons. In the first appearance of the match, at SummerSlam 1996, the winner would be the man who could not only escape the boiler room, but make his way to the ring and take Paul Bearer's urn from him. This match was unique - not only was it the only good Boiler Room Brawl, but the first part of the match (in the room) was actually pre-taped. The rest of the bout - when Mankind and Undertaker fought to the ring and Bearer turned on Undertaker - occurred live.
Three other Boiler Room Brawls happened in 1999, with Mankind wrestling Big Show once and Triple H twice. In these, the point was simply to escape the boiler room, and they were complete messes.
