This entry would undoubtedly occupy a higher place on the list were it not for the tragic circumstances surrounding both men's deaths, especially those which forever tarnished Benoit's reputation. At the time, however, this was one of the most emotional and satisfying endings the WWE had ever seen. Having both won their respective title matches, Eddie Guerrero and Chris Benoit celebrated together in the ring as confetti rained down - both finally in their rightful place at the top of the wrestling world. It had been a long journey for both, jumping ship together from WCW to Vince's promotion, the former having criminally underused men of their considerable in-ring ability. Their celebration to cap WrestleMania 20 proved to the watching public that, given the right dedication and ability, anybody could rise to the top level regardless of size, or a perceived lack of the typical "superstar look". Benoit's subsequent actions would forever taint this moment, but - analysing it in a vacuum - it seems a pretty perfect ending to a landmark WrestleMania.
