7. WrestleMania 24 - The First Of The Undertaker's Classics
For many followers of Undertaker's undefeated 'Mania streak, this is the moment where he started to gain traction in earnest. His clash against Edge (also enjoying an unbeaten 'Mania run of his own) was the first in a series of unquestionable classics, preceding a pair of double-headers against Shawn Michaels and Triple H, and the last win of the streak against CM Punk. The match was a modern classic, proving Edge worthy of his run at the top of the card once and for all. He countered everything the Undertaker could throw at him, including several signature and finishing manoeuvres, implying a fanatical amount of research and preparation on the part of the manic Rated-R Superstar. Even the cheap interference of his lackeys in the form of Curt Hawkins and Zack Ryder didn't detract from the spectacle of the match, which featured a slick ending sequence. 'Taker absorbed the impact of a spear and transitioned immediately into his hell's gate triangle submission, forcing Edge to tap out and hand over his World Heavyweight Championship. A match easily befitting the epic nature of Undertaker's streak, both men put on an absolute clinic and provided one of the best WrestleMania endings from a pure wrestling standpoint.
