10 Best Wrestlers Under 30 (Who Don't Work For WWE)

4. Ricochet

wikiwikiAge: 25 There aren't many wrestlers on the planet that have had a more successful year than Ricochet. One reign as Dragon Gate's Open The Dream Gate Champion, one reign as one-half (with Naruki Doi) of Dragon Gate's Open The Twin Gate Champions, the winner of Dragon Gate's King Of Gate tournament, one reign (current) as Dragon Gate USA's Open The Freedom Gate Champion, the winner of New Japan Pro Wrestling's Best Of The Super Juniors tournament (youngest person to ever do so, and the first American winner since Eddie Guerrero won it as Black Tiger II in 1996)... these are all accolades that he has achieved in the last 12 months or so. A high-flier with insane levels of athleticism, there aren't many more exciting people to watch perform. He has a 630-degree senton and a double rotation moonsault that are absolutely must-see. You can read that last sentence one more time if it needs to sink in properly. Yes, a moonsault where he does two full rotations in mid-air before landing on his opponent. In recent years, WWE has done a great job in signing people who had claim to being the best high-flier in wrestling, from Matt Sydal/Evan Bourne to Mistico/Sin Cara to El Generico/Sami Zayn to the rumored signing of Prince Devitt. Ricochet recently had a WWE tryout, but from reports we've seen, he wasn't offered a contract simply based on the amount of high-fliers of his size the company already has on the roster. Those same reports said he received high marks for his tryout, so you have to think it's only a matter of time before he does get that deal.
