In TNA, Hulk Hogan used to refer to Kurt Angle as “The Cyborg”. That seems pretty fitting, as the man just doesn’t seem fully human.

For someone who has had horrible neck problems for almost two decades, you would expect Angle to barely be able to move inside of a wrestling ring. But as soon as the bell rings, he remains one of the best on the planet, even as he nears the age of 50.

While Angle was in TNA, he was still putting on great, hard-hitting matches, the type that men twenty years younger than him could not hope to equal. It’s his drive to remain in phenomenal shape, as well as his desire to help out the next generation that continually keeps him at the top of his game.

He’s hinted that he’s getting ready to call it a career soon, but it would be a bit of a shame if he didn’t have at least a couple WWE matches left in him. That way we can see the Olympic gold medalist go out on his terms, and likely in another classic match.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
