10 Best Wrestlers Of 2022

2. Roman Reigns

If how huge a wrestler feels when they step into the arena was the most important factor on this list, Roman Reigns would be 2022's runaway Wrestler of the Year.

Roman Reigns has made an indomitable monolith of himself this year. While his presentation as WWE's undisputed top dog was always excellent, Roman has redefined "larger than life" in 2022, becoming a gigantic, commanding, force of nature of a man, whose aura is unlike any other in modern American wrestling. WWE's Undisputed Universal Champion is a star on a completely different level from anyone else in the market-leading promotion - and the scariest thing is that his best may still be yet to come.

The current Bloodline story could keep Reigns stocked up on blockbuster matches until WrestleMania 39 and beyond. Sami Zayn, Kevin Owens, and Sheamus all stand as credible opponents before we even get to the biggest show of the year, where The Rock may yet wait. This run is only going to get better.

Roman has never come across as cool as he does now. His ring work has evolved, as evidenced in his recent handling of the inexperienced Logan Paul in their stunning Crown Jewel. The only disappointment (and the factor keeping Reigns from topping this list) is that there isn't more of it. Roman's new part-time schedule preserves his aura, but that he has worked only seven singles matches in 2022 marks him a hard sell atop a ranking such as this.
