10 Best Wrestlers Who Came Out Of The WCW Power Plant

9. Sean O'Haire

The same goes for his 'Thrillers' stablemate Sean O'Haire.

O'Haire is the most tragic example on this list. He had a superb look, could move even more freely than Chuck Palumbo and was pulling off 'Sean-ton Bombs' (Jeff Hardy's finish) even though he was 6' 6" tall. He's another WCW bosses must've looked at and started licking their chops in anticipation of the money he'd make them for years.

Then, things went off the rails a bit. In WWE, O'Haire should have become a bigger deal. He didn't, and it's still confusing why his career never took off. An interesting devil's advocate character had legs, but it was undermined by an unnecessary alliance with Roddy Piper. At that stage, O'Haire needed to be his own man, not someone's lackey.

Tragically, following a WWE departure, period in New Japan and stint on the indy scene, he committed suicide in 2014. Sean will always be remembered by hardcore WCW fans as someone who could easily have become a star had the promotion stayed in business.
