10 Best Wrestlers Who Never Held The IMPACT World Championship

1. Christopher Daniels

Just like Abyss, you'd have expected Christopher Daniels to have reached the peak of IMPACT Wrestling at least once in his illustrious career there. Instead, the SoCal Uncensored lad would have to wait until 2017 for his first World Championship, doing so in Ring Of Honor.

Multiple runs as both the X Division Champion and World Tag Team Champion came Daniels' way, but he was never gifted with such a thing as the IMPACT World Championship. The closest 'The Fallen Angel' came was at the 2009 Final Resolution pay-per-view, wrestling friend-turned-foe AJ Styles in a cracker of a World Championship match.

It was actually Styles' eventual winning of the title at No Surrender 2009 that led many to believe the former Curry Man was going to do the same. After all, Daniels had put in just as much effort pioneering the X Division as Styles - and Samoa Joe, for that matter - did.

It wasn't to be, though. Daniels was prevented from being positioned as the company's top guy, with his tether finally snapping as he was released in 2014. Just three years later, a man that had previously been dubbed 'The King of the Indies' finally achieved that World Championship win.

He deserved far better than this.
