10 Best Wrestlers Who Never Held The IMPACT World Championship

2. Abyss

When you think of the words IMPACT Wrestling, Abyss is one of the first names that pops into your head, having spent close to two decades under contract with the promotion. Thus, you'd imagine he was a former World Champion for the promotion, right? Haha, lol, no.

A two-month reign as NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion was the peak of Abyss' IMPACT career, regardless of how many opportunities 'The Monster' had at the strap, including that match where Ric Flair fell through the ring.

Now, yes, Abyss was never the most able guy in the ring. A heavier guy at the best of times, Abyss was still capable of delivering a solid performance. The Black Hole Slam remains one of IMPACT's all-time great finishers, even being used in the promotion today by Jake Something. His legacy in the company is still being felt today, and yet, the promotion couldn't give him a single reign as their World Champion.

The comparisons between Abyss and Kane throughout the former's career seemingly transpires into accolades, too. 'The Big Red Machine; his sole run as WWF Champion lasted a single day. It's still one more day than Abyss managed as IMPACT World Champion, mind.

Seriously, how the f*ck did Abyss never lift the IMPACT title? Because Sting just needed to have four reigns, apparently.
