6. Bad News Brown
wikipediaOne of the most legitimate athletes to go through the dungeon was Allen Coage, better known as Bad News Allen, later known as Bad News Brown in the WWF. He was also the obvious inspiration for 'Bad News' Barrett on the current WWE roster. The Dungeon was famed for being physically gruelling, but Bad News was probably the toughest man to ever go in. He was an Olympic bronze medalist in judo, competing at the Montreal games in 1976. Once that career was over, Allen turned his attention to pro wrestling, first of all training with Antonio Inoki in 1978. A lot more local to Allen was Stu Hart up in Calgary, so he went up there in 1982, making Calgary his adopted home for life. As Bad News Brown he then found his biggest fame in the WWF, even winning the battle royal at WrestleMania 4. Feuds with Roddy Piper and Jake Roberts followed, before Brown left the WWF in 1990, complaining that Vince McMahon had reneged on a promise to make him the first ever black WWF Champion.
