4. Davey Boy Smith The British Bulldog
WWE.comLong before training in Stu Hart's dungeon, Davey Boy Smith was already an accomplished pro wrestler on the british scene. As a true athlete he was capable of having some excellent matches. The other thing he was passionate about was bodybuilding, putting significant muscle mass on to his relatively small frame. After years of wowing the UK, Smith was recruited by Stampede Wrestling, flying over to Canada in the early 1980's to train in the dungeon. Impressed with the tough young athlete, Stu made Davey a star of the Stampede promotion, which in turn caught Vince McMahon's eye. By the mid 80's Smith was starring as The British Bulldog alongside The Dynamite Kid in the WWF. The toughness that the Dungeon had put into Davey was fierce, he became one of the most reputed real life 'tough guys' in the industry. By 1992 he was main eventing SummerSlam in an all dungeon main event, Davey Boy vs Bret Hart, selling out 80,000 Wembley seats in his native England. The other thing that the dungeon gave Davey was a wife. In 1984 he married Diana Hart, the daughter of Stu, who he met while training at the Hart family mansion.
