10 Best Wrestling-Based Music Videos

5. Wavves - Way Too Much

The most recent video on the list and the one that inspired it, the latest release from San Diego band Wavves features a real, actual, genuine wrestling promotion. In this case it is Underground Empire Wrestling from Los Angeles, and by the looks of it they specialise in hardcore wrestling.

By hardcore wrestling, I mean the whole light tubes, barbed wire, baseball bats and probably the kitchen sink if need be. The song itself is quite fun, and acts a strange bizarro-world accompaniment to the violence portrayed in the video.

There's also a scraggly long haired dude in it who looks like just pre-WWE CM Punk.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
