There is something of a stereotype when it comes to professional wrestling and music, a stereotype that states the sounds must be aggressive and fast paced. Tennessee band Lambchop go a long to changing this with the clip for their 2012 single 'Gone Tomorrow'.

Again this is something of an evolutionary video, showcasing two guys going from training to a big match. There is one hairy dude with Berzerker boots, and a bald guy that reminds me of Gran Akuma. All bald wrestlers remind me of Gran Akuma.

There is a lovely symmetry here, with the TV in the training room showing wrestling, which eventually becomes the two guys that are training. The song seems to fit the video, as it is about a journey as opposed to glory, a slow arduous climb to achievement rather than a rocket surge to fame and fortune.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
