It’d be remiss to compile a list of great wrestling dives without mentioning Mexico’s Lucha Libre scene. Amongst other things, the style is heavily based on speed, athleticism, and creativity, with each show putting a big focus on the more spectacular side of wrestling, naturally resulting in endless streams of flips and dives. This makes it difficult to narrow things down to one individual moment, but this dive is one of the most reckless and unsafe you’ll ever see.

Weighing in at just 150lbs, Aero Star is a tiny luchador who has made his name by throwing caution to the wind and building his arsenal around creative aerial dives. He took an insane risk here, diving off a 30-40ft lighting stand to crush his opponents below,.

This is one of the most dangerous leaps of them all. Not only is Aero Star jumping from a great height, but he’s aiming at a very small target, with just two wrestlers ready to catch him. There’s no padding to break the fall, and the point of impact is just a few inches from the barrier, leaving a tiny margin for error. Still, it doesn't half look good...
