10 Best Wrestling Matches Of The Week (July 26)
6. Bray Wyatt vs. Roman Reigns (Battleground)
A feud between Bray Wyatt and Roman Reigns didn't really excite me in the beginning. Sure, I like both of these wrestlers well enough and hope they can be top stars for years to come, but they're not really at that point in their careers where I want one guy definitively beating the other guy. But with the ending of their match at Battleground I'm now way more interested in this feud.
The match itself was above average. It was marred by some slow points in the middle with maybe too long of a period of chinlocks. The final few minutes of this match really kicked into that next gear, which is great that these two can get to that spot together. Before the finish, Luke Harper emerged to attack Roman on the outside when the ref didn't see him. This lead to a Sister Abigail and a pinfall for the win for Wyatt.
With the addition of Harper and possibly Ambrose and/or Sting in a multi-match at SummerSlam, my interest is piqued. Both the Wyatt Family and The Shield are no strangers to great multi-man matches so whoever gets added to the mix will benefit from an exciting bout.
