10 Best Wrestling Matches Of The Week (June 20)

3. Seth Rollins vs. Dean Ambrose (WWE Money In The Bank)

The WWE World Heavyweight Championship was contested at Money in the Bank under ladder match rules in an event that was more about old school psychology than the typical stunts of the genre.

Dean Ambrose challenged Seth Rollins for his title and poor Dean's knee paid for it. Seth would work on his leg and even use weaponry to brutalize it. When Dean struggled to climb the ladder later in the match it was very believable how painful it was for him.

The finish was quirky but kudos to WWE for coming up with an original ending. Who knew that retrieving a title in a ladder match had rules similar to that of an NFL receiver prior to this? Now we know.

The long match time was a source of criticism and would be a detriment to the overall enjoyment. It seems like there was about 15 minutes or so that could have been condensed or outright cut and it would've kept the attention of the crowd better. There were times where everyone in the arena was simply too quiet.

While still a great match, this was only the third best bout of this week. The top match also came from Money in the Bank, but for number two a completely different promotion will need to be looked into...
