10 Best Wrestling Matches With The Worst Builds

2. Money In The Bank Ladder Match - WWE Money In The Bank 2016

Daniel Bryan Luke Harper
WWE

The Money In The Bank ladder match should be as serious as business gets in WWE.

The entrants go to war of a horrifically violent kind, all in the pursuit of an all-but guaranteed World title win.

Leave it to late-period Vince McMahon to insult the intelligence of the audience, and make the wrestlers look even more stupid, by doing terrible comedy with a less-than-ideal visual.

You see, you are thick. You do not know how ladders work. To give your donkey brain half a chance of understanding the concept of a multi-man ladder match - they do one every year, but you'd forgotten, you dumb f*ck - each participant was shown on top of a ladder. A heel, if they had half a brain and were mean, like a heel should be, would have simply scarpered down and toppled them over.

Why not sell the most dangerous, high-stakes match in WWE by having wrestlers climb ladders - remember, they must do that in order to retrieve the briefcase - and trading terrible sub-three camera sitcom insults at one another?

Dean Ambrose begged them all to get to fighting, so at least one of them knew how absurd it was, but he also said he'd fight a polar bear or the mole people because even he couldn't be cool.

This did not do a thing to arouse a sense of bloodlust within the audience, which was dumb, because Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn in particular went hog wild in the match itself by bumping on upturned ladders.

The wild tonal shift from exposition and abysmal comedy to some of the sickest violence witnessed on the WWE stage was nonsensical, but that was 2010s WWE for you.
