"Sierra, Hotel, India, Echo, Lima, Delta. SHIELD".

That opening refrain to The Shield's entrance music would soon become legend, but the threesome wouldn't have become quite as huge without a hot start. The good news is that they got one; at Survivor Series 2012, Messrs. Ambrose, Rollins and Reigns interrupted a Triple Threat headliner and reshaped WWE's future.

All three men would go on to become World Champions in the company, and two are still top guys in WWE today. The other? Well, Dean Ambrose ditched his corporate tag, bolted to AEW, returned to his Jon Moxley roots and sent a shockwave running through the entire industry. Making waves was nothing new to him, and it started with The Shield.

Their monochrome presentation conjured up images of classic nWo style, and the cool SWAT uniforms the group would go on to wear were eye-catching and unique. Make no mistake, The Shield boys collectively shifted WWE's top line mix from 2012 onwards.
