10 Best Wrestling Moments Of The Last Decade
5. Roman Reigns Announcing Cancer Remission
Admit it, you cried.
If there's one thing wrestling fan can claim, it's a sense of community. No, Roman Reigns wasn't a great babyface for much of his 2014-18 run, but that wasn't a reflection on the man behind the character incessantly shoved down fan throats as 'the guy'. People, even those who booed, knew he was a pretty good dude behind the scenes.
That's why tears were shed when Roman announced he was leaving to battle leukemia on the 22 October 2018 Raw. Around four months later though, those years of sadness were years of unbridled joy when Reigns cheerfully announced that he'd kicked cancer's ass and gushed, "I'm in remission, y'all".
Anyone who didn't instantly feel themselves swell with pride has a heart of stone. It took real balls for Reigns to publicly disclose a battle he'd fought for 11 years to the world, and it took even more to win that fight against the disease. What a wonderful, emotional moment this was.
